My name is Guillermo Ballester Valor. Born in Alcoy (Alicante), Spain, long time ago (1959). Since I was 18 I live in Granada, so it can be considered I'm from Alcoy and Granada. Nevertheless I like to be a citizen of the Earth. I hate any kind of nationalism, in my opinion, the most important source of pain in the world.

I'm Graduate in Physics by the Granada University, with a better califications of the year price. In 1985 I gained a place as Meteorologist in the Spanish Meteorological Service: Instituto Nacional de Meteorología (INM).

In addition to meteorology, I love music, maths and computers...

About computers, I began with a texas instrument ¡with 128 memories!, after a Commodore 64, then the first PC (an Amstrad i8086), an i486, a pentium 166MHz MMx, y lastly an Athlon XP 2500+

I'm a developer of some applications in the INM. In my free time I also write some litle things

About mathematical things, I've wrote Glucas an application to search Mersenne Prime Numbers

As fruit from my lost hours as admin of this site, I've written some spanish small docs and howtos about how to configure Postfix mail server, How to build a small DNS server and how to keep the exact hour in your computer. All they have many acceptations if one look at the access logs.

For SuSE Linux users, I usually build several RPM packages, most important are Postfix, amule and amsn. You can download them from this directory and with ftp from here. I've also built an APT repository to an easy instalation of all the packages I build.

Also, I've build the meteorological site www.ogimet.com
